Who we are
The Ministry of Culture’s Grant Office for European Funding, operating under the Directorate-General for European and International Affairs, was established in response to the growing need to strengthen the Ministry’s capacity to participate in directly managed European funding programmes through a strategic and structured approach.
We are a working group dedicated to providing technical assistance, guidance and operational support to the institutions of the Ministry of Culture seeking to access EU funding. Our aim is to foster innovation, cooperation and the sustainable development of the cultural and creative sectors at transnational level.
Our mission is twofold: we facilitate the effective participation of the Ministry’s institutions in EU calls for proposals by supporting them throughout the entire project cycle, from project development to implementation, and secondly, we promote a culture of European project development within the Ministry through training, communication and networking activities.
We operate in an increasingly interconnected environment, where cooperation at the European level is not only an opportunity to access funding, but also a means of strengthening institutional capacity, fostering innovation and addressing the major challenges facing the cultural and creative sectors through joint action.
Guided by a strategic, long-term vision, the Grant Office works to position the Ministry of Culture’s institutions as active participants in the European cultural landscape, strengthening their capacity to access EU funding and fostering their integration into high-profile international networks.
