Who we are
The Grant Office for European Funding operates within Service III – International Relations, formerly part of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Culture. Its establishment responds to the growing need to enhance the Administration’s capacity to engage in direct-managed European programmes in a strategic and structured way.
We are a dedicated team specializing in providing technical assistance, guidance, and operational support to the Ministry’s institutions seeking to access EU funding, with the aim of contributing to innovation, cooperation, and the sustainable development of the public cultural sector.
Our mission is twofold: on one hand, to facilitate the effective participation of MiC entities in European calls for proposals, supporting them throughout the entire project cycle; on the other, to promote an institutional culture of European project development through training, communication, and networking.
We operate in an increasingly interconnected environment, where collaboration at the European level is not only a funding opportunity but also a powerful tool to enhance internal skills, embrace innovation, and address today’s major cultural challenges collectively.
With a strategic, long-term vision, the Grant Office works to position MiC institutions as active players in the European cultural landscape, strengthening their competitiveness and promoting their integration into high-profile international networks.
