The Grant Office has developed a series of multimedia modules providing practical tools, operational guidance and methodological support to encourage and facilitate the participation of public institutions in EU calls for proposals under directly managed funding programmes.

The modules developed include:

• Module 1 – Budgeting and reporting for directly managed EU projects
• Module 2 – The Funding & Tenders Portal: opportunities, tools and access to EU funding
• Module 3 – Communication and dissemination

The modules were developed in collaboration with the National School of Heritage and Cultural Activities.

The basic course is specifically designed for public administration staff who are approaching directly managed EU funding programmes for the first time.

Participants are introduced to the main stages of EU project development through a structured learning path led by experts in the field, including:

• Overview of EU funding programmes: with a focus on Creative Europe and practical examples of successfully funded projects.
• Project development techniques: from the initial project idea to the preparation and drafting of a competitive proposal.
• Practical exercises: including the analysis of calls for proposals, the preparation of project abstracts, the completion of application forms and the development of partnership strategies.

Methodology: The course combines theoretical sessions with practical exercises, following a “learning by doing” approach that enables participants to immediately apply the knowledge acquired. Real-life case studies and project proposal writing simulations are used to provide hands-on experience throughout the training.

The advanced courses are designed for participants who have already acquired basic skills and wish to specialise in specific aspects of EU project development or further explore innovative project management techniques.

The courses cover the following topics:

• Advanced Project Management: methodologies and tools for managing multi-partner and transnational projects.
• Reporting and Compliance: administrative, financial and regulatory aspects of managing EU-funded projects.
• Impact Assessment: methodologies for measuring, evaluating and communicating project results and outcomes.
• Communication and Dissemination: strategies for enhancing project visibility, outreach and impact.
• Negotiation and Strategic Partnerships: approaches to building and managing successful international partnerships.
• Innovation Management: from the development of innovative ideas to their implementation and uptake.
